On the tympan look out for the tables of the Law. This ancient synagogue today belongs to Hungarian State television which uses it as a studio.

Description

The order of the Servites was authorised to set up in Hungary in 1686 under the reign of Léopold Ist. The Church, in the Baroque style, is dedicated to Saint Anne. On the balustrade of the façade, statues of Saint Augustin and Saint Philippe and above the doorway, a bas-relief depicting the Patron Saints for the order. The inside has a single nave. On the main altar, you can see the statue of Saint Anne.

A Gothic bell tower is the main part of the remains of the Church of Saint Madeleine.

Description

A Gothic bell tower is the main part of the remains of the Church of Saint Madeleine. During the Ottoman occupation, this Church was the only Christian building allowed by the Turks. Catholics and protestants prayed there in turn. Some temporary exhibitions are organised inside the tower. If your legs are strong and your lungs are up to it, you can go up to the top and see the set of bells which chime from time to time.
